Julie Ricketts  A.G.R.A.

\r\n

Julie was fortunate to be born into the artistic Ricketts family and with this influence has developed as an award winning artist. As a child she spent many hours watching her grandfather paint in the shed out the back when he came to live with the family, she also spent time playing at her uncle William\'s sanctuary in the Dandenongs which later in life helped her to understand and appreciate his magnificent art works and the message he was trying to convey.  Julie lived in the Dandenongs for many years before moving to the Yarra Valley in the early 1980\'s which is where she now draws most of her inspiration.

\r\n

Julie\'s floral studies and other works depict a typical Australian lifestyle and glow with old world charm, her eye for detail and subtle light transitions breathe life into her work. Her preferred medium is pastel however she also enjoys the timeless texture of oils.
