Ern Veszely is a Hungarian born Australian who started painting when he commenced his studies in Archirecture and Fine Art at the Perth Technical College in 1965.
Arthur Russell was one of the art class teachers who played a large part in his development and love of painting and drawing. This love has lasted a lifetime.
A part time painter mainly in watercolour, Ern has exhibited and sold his work in exhibitions at Montrise, the Camberwell Rotary Art Show, the Box Hill Rotary Art Show, Knox Rotary Art Show, Sherbrooke and the Winchelsea Art Shows.
In 2007 he was awarded a Highly Commended in the Best Watercolour Category at the Rotary Club of Bayswater Knox Art Exhibition and Second Prize for a watercolour pair at the Winchelsea Art Show.
Although his background is in architecture the natural landscape is his favourite subject. He continues to enjoy painting with the Foothills Five on a semi regular basis. |
